About Us
Wentworth Healthcare is a not-for-profit organisation with a vision to improve the health and wellbeing of our community. Wentworth Healthcare is the provider of the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network (NBMPHN) program.
Research has shown that older people without enough social connections have an increased risk of poorer mental health and well-being, which can impact their physical health and use of health services (Beyond Blue Research Report).
We believe that social isolation and loneliness of people in our area is a significant issue.
In response to this, we established a Social Connectedness Project to find ways for the older people in our community to increase their social connections and reduce loneliness.
This online directory is being developed as part of that project. We encourage health service providers, support groups, and other community organisations who provide services for the community to add information about your service to this directory. It is free to use, we just ask that you keep your information as up-to-date as possible, which you can do yourself at any time by logging in to this website.
We value any feedback you may have about this website, and encourage you to contact us with ideas on how we can improve it or just to let us know that you have found it to be helpful.
